Job summary

Walgrave Primary School invites applications for a dedicated SENDCo to lead the school's SEND provision on a part-time basis. The role focuses on coordinating support without teaching duties, with remuneration on the Main Scale pro rata plus SEN Allowance.

The successful candidate will work closely with staff, families and external professionals to ensure inclusive practice and positive outcomes for all pupils with SEND.

Qualifications

• Experience in a SEND/SENDco capacity within a primary school setting.
• Strong understanding of SEND provision and the graduated approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the school's SEND provision.
• Support teachers and staff in identifying and meeting the needs of pupils with SEND.
• Maintain and develop effective SEND systems, records and provision.
• Work closely with parents and carers to ensure positive communication and partnership.
• Liaise with external agencies and professionals where appropriate.
• Monitor and review the progress and provision of pupils with SEND.
• Contribute to the development of an inclusive whole-school approach.
• Keep up to date with relevant SEND legislation, guidance and best practice.

Hours: 1day per week

AsSENDCo, you will:

• Be organised, approachable and an effective communicator.
• Be able to work independently while building positive relationships with staff, pupils and families.
