Belmont Primary School in England is seeking a SENDCo to lead SEND across the school. The role is primarily non-class based with limited teaching, and requires a professional, nurturing and proactive individual to join our team.

The post involves regular policy review, day-to-day SEND monitoring, and collaboration with the Head Teacher on inclusion strategies. Closing date 23 November 2026.

• Ensure day-to-day implementation and monitoring of the SEND policy.
• Work with the Head Teacher on developing an action plan and inclusion strategy.
• Update the Local Offer Annually
• Maintain a Special Educational Needs Register
• Ensure statutory responsibilities regarding all pupils with a Statement of Special Educational Needs are carried out.
• Monitor the progress of children with SEND.
• Lead the Special Support Assistants/Teaching assistants.
• Liaise with outside agencies.
• Work closely with parents to ensure children with SEND are making progress.
• Oversee the records of pupils with SEND.
• Provide training and advice to other staff.
• Continue to develop professionally.
• Show willingness to learn about specific needs in children and implement strategies to help progress.
• Keep accurate records and complete necessary paperwork.
