A leading school in Leicester is seeking an experienced or aspiring SENCO to join their dedicated inclusion team. This permanent role involves supporting children with special needs and working collaboratively across two school buildings. The successful candidate will benefit from ongoing support and professional development opportunities.
Do you want to work in a school with a well-established ethos of inclusivity? Would you like to support children in mainstream, in a DSP, and those with special needs in a bespoke provision? We have strong links with the LA and are a dedicated inclusion team across both school buildings.
Our inclusion offer is second to none and recognized within the trust, the local authority, and beyond. As a former SENCO turned headteacher, I understand the challenges and joys of this role and am eager to support the right candidate. Being a split-site school, there is a SENCO at each building, ensuring you will not work in isolation. You will also have monthly review meetings with me to discuss complex cases and next steps. You will be part of the TMET SEN network, and we will support the right candidate in acquiring the SEN qualification if not already obtained.
Meet the Principal Q&A drop-in session: Thursday, 3.45-4.15 pm

We apologize for the late opportunity, which is due to late staff appointments at Kestrel Mead. We look forward to meeting all candidates interested in working for TMET and at Kestrel Mead.
"Staff take great care to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND." - OFSTED 2024
"There is a highly successful offer for DSP pupils at Kestrel Mead. The pupils are taught in a fully secure, purpose-built environment with access to outdoor and sensory spaces. The building is linked with the mainstream nursery outdoor learning area, enabling inclusion with mainstream peers." - LA DSP report
