Monarch Education is recruiting on behalf of a dedicated primary school in Knowle for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEMH needs within a team-teaching setting.

This school offers a warm, inclusive atmosphere with a strong team approach to teaching, including collaborative planning and delivery of lessons tailored to each child's needs. Your Role:

As part of a team-teaching approach, you will work alongside class teachers and specialists to support pupils with SEMH needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting in delivering tailored learning activities, providing emotional and behavioural support, and fostering positive interactions within a classroom that encourages independence and confidence.

Candidate Requirements:

  • CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred)
  • Team-Teach certified or qualified (a specific de-escalation and positive behaviour management training, essential)
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH or SEND needs (desirable)
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of SEMH conditions and strategies (advantage)
  • Understanding of safeguarding policies
