Job summary

Bolton High School is seeking an experienced SENDCO to start as soon as possible. The role offers flexibility: maternity cover, temp-to-perm, interim work, or a permanent leadership position.

You will lead SEND provision, oversee EHCPs and annual reviews, support staff to deliver inclusive practice, work with parents and external agencies, and drive whole-school inclusion while ensuring SEND Code compliance.

Qualifications

  • QTS with eligibility to teach in the UK.
  • National Award for SEN Coordination or working towards it.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Experience within a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Child-centred and solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school.

  • Support and guide teaching staff to deliver high-quality inclusive practice.
