We are seeking a passionate and experienced SENDCO to lead and develop our provision for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

The Role

As our SENDCO, you will:

  • Champion inclusive education and support children with a range of needs to achieve their best outcomes.
  • Coordinate and oversee all SEND provision across the school.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, external agencies, and the senior leadership team to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and support.
  • Identify pupils’ needs and ensure personalised support plans are effectively implemented and reviewed.
  • Lead and manage a dedicated team of teaching assistants and support staff.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it).
  • A strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Experience of working with children with a range of SEND in a primary school setting.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • A child-centred approach and commitment to inclusive practice.
