If so, becoming a Star leader might be the best career move you ever make.

About Star King Solomon Academy

Star King Solomon Academy is an all-through Christian faith school for 4 to 16-year-olds in central Birmingham. In addition to serving Christian children and families, the school welcomes children of all faiths and beliefs. We joined Star Academies in 2024, and like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism.

We are a rapidly improving school with high ambitions and expectations for all pupils. Rooted in Christian values, we provide a knowledge-based academic curriculum complemented by a rich leadership programme that nurtures character and inspires charitable and social action. Our pursuit of educational excellence is based on the belief that every pupil can become a successful and inspirational leader.

Who we’re looking for

We’re seeking a SENDCO with a proven track record of improving standards and raising pupil outcomes. We welcome talented middle leaders looking to extend their experience, and outstanding, ambitious teachers seeking their first middle leadership role.

As an experienced teacher, you will develop an engaging curriculum tailored to diverse learners and have the resolve to make a real difference. The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organizational and motivational skills.

You should demonstrate the ability to lead a successful faculty, drawing on extensive teaching and leadership experience. As a Star middle leader, you’ll join the Star Academies family, a high-performing, supportive network of primary and secondary schools with some of the best leaders in education.

You will have:

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • The ability to teach to GCSE standard.
  • The ability to coach and motivate colleagues to achieve targets.
  • Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Experience of innovation and creativity to engage and progress learners.

Every day offers an opportunity to shape a young person’s future, guided by our STAR values.

We invest in professional development through our Star Talent Academy, offering training, mentoring, and progression across our growing network of academies, potentially elevating your career.
