Job summary

DN Colleges Group is seeking a Project Search Job Coach to support Foundation Learning as part of the DFN Project SEARCH programme. You will coach interns in workplace placements, deliver employability sessions, and coordinate relationships with host employers, schools and families.

You will guide learners to develop skills, confidence and independence within real work environments, drawing on SEND experience to create opportunities and positive outcomes for young people.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and support learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised job coaching and support to interns within workplace placements.
• Teach workplace skills, employability behaviours and safe working practices.
• Support interns to understand workplace culture, communication and professional expectations.
• Develop natural workplace support networks and encourage increasing independence.
• Plan and deliver classroom-based employability and vocational learning sessions.
• Assess learner progress and develop personalised vocational and training plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with host businesses, managers and workplace mentors.
• Support the recruitment and selection of new interns onto the programme.
• Work closely with families, employers and partner organisations to support successful employment outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and programme documentation and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
