Job summary

Hft is seeking a passionate Project SEARCH Tutor to coordinate and deliver employability curriculum within the DFN Project SEARCH programme. You will work with interns, Job Coaches, families and partners to create an engaging learning experience and help learners build practical skills and confidence for meaningful employment.

You will plan accessible sessions to develop employability, workplace behaviours, communication and independence, adapting to individual needs and embedding literacy,

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Education/Training/Employability/Youth Work or related field.
• Teaching qualification such as AET/PTLLS, or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience delivering employability, vocational or life skills programmes.
• Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs, learning disabilities and/or autism.
• Experience planning, delivering and assessing learning.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with employers and external partners.
• Good IT and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver the classroom-based employability curriculum within the DFN Project SEARCH programme.
• Work with interns, employers, Job Coaches, families and partner organisations to support learning and employability.
• Plan, deliver and assess engaging sessions that develop employability, workplace behaviours and independence.
• Adapt teaching to individual learning needs and embed literacy, numeracy, digital and employability skills.
• Support learners to identify career goals and monitor progress towards outcomes.
• Build relationships with employers, workplace mentors, families and external partners.
• Organise and chair Steering Group meetings to support programme delivery and outcomes.
