This role provides the opportunity to work with students who require a personalised approach to education, helping them to re-engage with learning in a supportive and nurturing environment.
The local authority is looking to appoint a SEND Tutor on a long-term, full-time basis. The successful SEND Tutor will support student through core subjects, providing tailored 1:1 tuition and adapting learning to meet individual needs. Tutors without QTS will be considered, with alternative provision teaching experience or 1:1 experience essential for this role.
The successful SEND Tutor will have:
- Experience teaching in an alternative provision setting or delivering 1:1 tuition
- Experience supporting students with SEND
- Strong knowledge of core subjects
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- A commitment to supporting student progress
