Job summary

Cover People is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for a welcoming secondary special needs school in Salford. You will support secondary-aged children with SEND, including Autism and Complex Needs, helping them thrive in their learning journey.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–3:30 pm, starting 1st Sept 2026. Pay is £95-£115 per day (DOE), paid PAYE directly through Cover People, with ongoing development and safeguarding training provided.

  • Experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting.
  • Ability to work with individual pupils and small groups.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

The SEND Teaching Assistant Role:
  • Start Date: Tuesday 1st Sept 2026.
  • Contract: Long-term, with potential for permanency.
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am-3:30 pm.
  • Pay: £95-115 per day (DOE), paid PAYE directly through Cover People.

What you'll need to provide:
