Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND across Great Yarmouth and surrounding areas. You will work one-to-one or in small groups, delivering differentiated activities and helping implement individual education plans to raise confidence and access learning.

Ideal candidates are calm, patient, and able to build trusting relationships, with experience in autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Understanding strategies for needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, or speech and language difficulties.
• Calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils.
• Confident using behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.

SEND Teaching Assistant – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for support staff who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Great Yarmouth and the surrounding areas, helping them access learning and develop confidence through tailored SEND support.
