Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Bedford, starting immediately. You will support pupils in Year 3 and Year 5, helping them engage with learning and wellbeing.

Experience in schools and SEND support, plus strong behaviour management, are essential. You will work closely with the class teacher to create a calm, inclusive learning environment and make a positive difference to pupil development.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school setting is essential.
• Experience supporting children with SEND is required.
• Strong behaviour management skills are expected.
• Candidate should be confident, patient and proactive when supporting varied learning needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are important.
• Reliable, adaptable and able to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across Year 3 and Year 5.
• Work in Year 5 in the morning and Year 3 in the afternoon.
• Provide classroom support to help pupils engage with their learning.
• Support children with SEND and promote positive behaviour.
• Maintain a calm, supportive learning environment.
• Work closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils receive needed support.
