Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. in Bedford is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school and support pupils across Year 3 and Year 5. You will work in Year 5 mornings and Year 3 afternoons, helping learners engage with activities and supporting those with SEND.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Confident, patient and proactive when supporting pupils with different learning needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, adaptable and available to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils across Year 3 and Year 5.
• Working in Year 5 in the morning and Year 3 in the afternoon.
• Providing classroom support to help pupils engage with their learning.
• Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a calm, supportive learning environment.
• Working closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
