Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Tranmere. The role involves supporting pupils with SEND both in and outside the classroom, working with the class teacher and SEND team, and helping pupils overcome learning barriers.

Experience with SEND is essential, with ASD, ADHD, EHCPs, or behavioural/emotional support viewed as a plus. The position is based in Tranmere, Wirral, starting early October 2026, with an initial contract until Easter 2027

The role would suit an experienced TA who is confident supporting children with additional needs and enjoys helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Role:

• SEND Teaching Assistant
• Tranmere
• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Start date: early October 2026
• Initially until Easter 2027 with the possibility of extension to summer 2027
• Supporting pupils with additional needs both in and outside the classroom
