Teaching Personnel in Tiverton, Devon, is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs from September 2026. The role may include 1:1, small groups, or general classroom support, helping children access learning and build confidence.

The successful candidate will have a patient, nurturing approach, with strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding. Term-time hours are 8:45am–3:15pm, full-time, long-term contract with competitive pay based on experience.

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential? Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Tiverton from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, compassionate, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. You may work on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or within the wider classroom, helping pupils access their learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The role would suit someone with previous SEND experience, but we are also keen to hear from candidates with a strong interest in supporting children with additional needs.
