Job summary

North Denes Primary School and Nursery in Great Yarmouth is seeking a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join the Reception team to support a child with complex needs. The role involves both focused 1:1 support and general TA duties within Reception, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo.

Experience with SEND and a TA qualification (or equivalent) are essential, with a commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children with SEND.
• Qualified Teaching Assistant or equivalent required.
• Ability to support within a Reception environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support for the child with complex SEND.
• Deliver 1:1 and small group support as required.
• Assist the class teacher and SENCo in planning and delivery.
