Job summary

Crawshaw Academy is seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support students across our mainstream provision and Pathways, our on-site specialist base.

You will work with teachers and SEND professionals to provide practical and emotional support, building relationships to re-engage learners and help them achieve positive outcomes.

This term-time role offers stability, development opportunities, and involvement in a supportive team focused on inclusion, wellbeing and high expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in education, youth work or care.
• Interest in SEND, SEMH and supporting students with additional needs.
• Patient, calm and adaptable when supporting learners.

Responsibilities

• Support students across mainstream and Pathways provisions.
• Build strong relationships to engage learners.
• Assist individuals or small groups to access learning.
• Help students manage challenges and develop positive behaviours.
• Collaborate with teachers and SEND professionals to create safe environments.
