Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking an empathetic SEND Teaching Assistant to work in primary settings across Croydon. You will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping with emotion regulation, learning participation, and routine building.

We value calm, patient individuals who understand that behaviour communicates needs. Training and ongoing SEND-focused development, plus a local consultant to support your placements, are provided.

SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools

Primary schools across Croydon are looking for compassionate, confident SEND support staff to work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who need that extra bit of understanding.

This is about being patient, consistent and genuinely invested in helping children feel safe and able to learn.

What the role could involve:

• Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD or SEMH
• Helping children regulate emotions and access learning
• Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs
• Creating safe, structured routines
• Celebrating progress, however small

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
