Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in the UK is hiring a Teaching Assistant to support secondary pupils with learning, development and personal care needs. The role is full-time and on-site, in a secondary SEND setting in Selly Oak, with a daily rate of £95–£110.

You will work closely with pupils and staff to create a positive, engaging learning environment, encourage independence, and build strong relationships while adhering to safeguarding and DBS requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
• Experience supporting pupils with MLD/ASD/SLD is preferred.
• Confident in providing personal care and welfare support.

Responsibilities

• Support secondary-aged pupils with learning, development and personal care needs.
• Collaborate with pupils and staff to provide consistent support and encourage independence.
• Help create a positive and engaging learning environment for all learners.
