Job summary

Winner Education in Selly Oak is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students with SEN in Key Stages 3 and 4. Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting students with SEN and looking for your next opportunity in a supportive secondary school?

Winner Education is working with a SEN secondary school in the Selly Oak area who are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing tailored support and helping them develop both academically and personally.

What You'll Do:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs

• Support students with their learning, development and engagement in lessons

• Help create a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment

• Encourage students to build confidence, independence and positive relationships

• Support with behaviour management and emotional regulation where required

• Work closely with teachers and the wider school team to meet individual student needs

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK secondary school

• Experience supporting students with SEN is highly desirable

• A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Good behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach

• The ability to build positive relationships with students

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Relevant Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification is desirable but not essential
