Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a secondary SEND school in Selly Oak. The role involves supporting learning, development and personal care for pupils with MLD, ASD and SLD, inside a caring classroom environment.

You will work closely with staff to provide consistent support, foster independence and maintain a positive, engaging learning atmosphere. The position is full-time and pays at market rates with CPD opportunities and 24/7 consultant support.

Qualifications

Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
Experience supporting pupils with MLD, ASD and/or SLD.
Confident providing personal care.
Patient, caring and positive approach.
Ability to build strong relationships with young people.
Fun, enthusiastic attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Responsibilities

Support secondary-aged pupils with learning, development and personal care needs.
Assist with personal care when required and support independence.
Create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Work closely with pupils and staff to provide consistent support.
Encourage independence and confidence in learning.
