Job summary

Lancashire County Council's Morecambe Bay Community Primary School is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the SEND unit, known as ‘The Cove’. The post supports up to 8 pupils with SLCN/ASD and requires collaboration with teachers to deliver tailored activities in a supportive setting.

The role focuses on pupils' academic, social and emotional development, within a high staff-to-pupil ratio that enables specialist teaching and adapted curricula.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
• Level 2 English and Mathematics qualification (GCSEs 4-9 or A-C).

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with teachers to plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities for pupils with SEND.
• Support individuals and groups of pupils across the curriculum, aiding academic, social and emotional development.
• Help create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment within the SEND unit.

Education
