Job summary

Lancashire County Council seeks a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for Morecambe Bay Community Primary School, LA4 5JL. The role supports learning, wellbeing and personal development across KS2, with teaching staff and professionals to create an inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will assist with planning, delivery and evaluation of activities, supervise classes when needed, and contribute to safeguarding and pupil outcomes. Pro-rata salary applies.

Qualifications

  • Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated upper key stage 2 team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside teachers and other professionals to support pupils' learning, wellbeing and personal development. At Morecambe Bay, our aim is to do the very best for every child every day and we are seeking someone who shares this commitment.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers to plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities. They will support individuals and groups of pupils across the curriculum and may provide supervision of whole classes during short-term teacher absence. The role involves supporting children's academic, social and emotional development while helping to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Has experience of working with children in a school setting
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can work effectively as part of a team
  • Has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
  • Is committed to inclusion and safeguarding

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
