Job summary

Lancashire County Council seeks a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for Morecambe Bay Community Primary School, LA4 5JL. The role supports learning, wellbeing and personal development across KS2, with teaching staff and professionals to create an inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will assist with planning, delivery and evaluation of activities, supervise classes when needed, and contribute to safeguarding and pupil outcomes. Pro-rata salary applies.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience of working with children in a school setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can work effectively as part of a team with high standards of pupil achievement and behaviour.
• Committed to inclusion and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' learning, wellbeing and personal development.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities with teachers.
• Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence.
• Support academic, social and emotional development in a caring environment.
