Job summary

St Catherines Catholic Primary School in Lowton is inviting applications for two Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistants from September 2026. The role involves supporting pupils with learning needs, under SENCO guidance, and contributing to a positive, inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, highly motivated teaching assistants are required.
• Ability to support pupils with learning, behavioural or physical needs.
• Willingness to participate in staff development and appraisal.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide support for pupils, ensuring safety and access to learning.
• Assist with development and implementation of Individual education/behaviour plans.
• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact according to needs.
• Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with barriers to learning.
