Job summary

SS Osmund & Andrew’s RC Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 2 (SEND) to join our caring team. You will support pupils with SEND and work closely with teachers to deliver inclusive learning activities.

The role is fixed-term for 1 year with a view to extension, working term-time only for 31.25 hours per week (8.45-15.30 with 30 minutes lunch). DBS checks will be undertaken as part of safer recruitment.

Qualifications

• Be able to communicate well with both children and adults.
• Have a commitment to team working.
• Have previous experience working with pupils with SEND or a passion to develop in this area.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND in class activities and routines.
• Assist teaching staff with planning, preparation and delivery of learning activities.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
