Job summary

Haberdashers’ Abraham Darby is seeking to appoint an experienced Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the learning support team. The role supports pupils with SEND under the guidance of the SENDCO, facilitating inclusive learning during term-time.

The successful candidate will have prior SEND experience, a Level 2/3 qualification (or working towards), and a solid understanding of safeguarding. Salary is for term-time only, with pro-rata FTE figures provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with special needs
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification or working towards
• Understanding of Child Protection/Safeguarding procedures
• Patience and empathy towards pupils and young people

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities under the instruction of the SENDCO
• Work under the instruction of the SENDCO to support pupils with SEND in the school
• Contribute to a supportive learning environment and assist with classroom activities
