Job summary

Shifnal Primary School is seeking two SEND Teaching Assistants at Level 2 to support children with SEND. The posts are 27.5 hours per week during term time (43.60 weeks per year) and fixed-term until July 2027.

The successful candidates will work in a collaborative team, engaging pupils inside and outside the classroom and assisting with small group support. Applicants should have enthusiasm, be well-motivated, and capable of maintaining resilience in challenging situations, with an enhanced DBS

Qualifications

• Experience of working with SEND children.
• Ability to work well in a team, keep children engaged and be resilient.
• Role predominantly involves supporting SEND children, individuals and small groups.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals and small groups of SEND children inside and outside the classroom.
• Work as part of a team to keep pupils engaged and safe.
• Assist with behavioural management and promote pupil welfare.
