Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is hiring a Teaching Assistant in Cheshire/Merseyside to support learning and emotional wellbeing in a primary setting. You will work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and pupils to help every child thrive.

The role offers competitive weekly pay, access to free training, a contributory pension scheme, and DBS support with Right to Work checks in the UK. This is a temporary full-time opportunity across Cheshire, with opportunities in other Liverpool-area locations.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required.
• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Knowledge of phonics and ELSA desirable.
• Enhanced DBS check and Right to Work in the UK mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning and development through personalised classroom assistance.
• Work 1:1 with pupils with SEND.
• Deliver targeted interventions and monitor progress in collaboration with teachers and the SENCO.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers to promote a safe and inclusive environment.
• Assist in organising activities that support mental and physical wellbeing.
