Job summary

You will work with primary-aged children, support interventions, and collaborate with teachers, staff and parents. The position is part-time and temporary, with weekly pay and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with primary-aged children.
• Confidence and classroom management to lead whole-class cover sessions.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning across different year groups and subjects under the direction of the class teacher.
• Delivering targeted interventions to support pupils’ progress and development.
• Promoting positive behaviour and inclusive practices within the classroom.
• Building strong relationships with children, staff, parents, and carers.
• Covering planned whole-class sessions in the absence of teachers, maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning.
• Assisting with the implementation of teachers’ planning and supporting the ethos of the school.
