Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Liverpool primary school. You will work closely with children with additional needs, adapting materials and supporting their access to the curriculum.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals, with opportunities for training, cycle-to-work benefits, and access to pension schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in a primary setting, especially with SEN.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Support children with additional needs per EHCP and adapt learning materials.
• Implement agreed strategies and manage behaviour and routines in class.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, carers and professionals to meet educational, social and emotional needs.
• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to access the curriculum.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports wellbeing.
