Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to work on a full-time basis across partner schools in the Camborne and Redruth area. You will support children and young people with SEND, helping them access learning and reach their potential.

You will work with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to provide tailored support in and out of the classroom, while adhering to safeguarding guidelines and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
• Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs and learning difficulties.
• Deliver 1:1 support and work with small groups.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning where required.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
