Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant from September 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND, helping them access the curriculum, build literacy and numeracy skills, and develop confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND and pupils with additional needs.
• Ability to support literacy, numeracy, phonics and wider curriculum.
• Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND in the mainstream classroom.
• Support pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH.
• Assist with differentiated activities to access the curriculum and promote progress.
• Support literacy, numeracy, phonics, and broader curriculum areas.
• Help pupils develop confidence, communication and social skills.
