Job summary

Step Teachers Ltd is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for day-to-day supply across Enfield schools. The role involves supporting pupils with SEND in classrooms and small groups, and may lead to longer-term opportunities.

You will liaise with teachers and SENCOs to tailor support while upholding safeguarding standards. Ideal candidates will have SEND experience, strong behaviour management, and the ability to build positive relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND preferred.
• Strong behaviour management and differentiated learning.
• Ability to build positive relationships and stay calm.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
• Willingness to undergo Enhanced DBS check or have one registered on Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with special educational needs in classroom and small group settings.
• Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans.
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning strategies.
• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure tailored support.
• Provide one-to-one assistance and help pupils engage with learning activities.
• Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times.
