Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant in Ealing to support pupils with special educational needs in a school setting. The role involves working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure students receive tailored support that enables them to access the curriculum and make progress.

The successful candidate will provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support, assist with IEPs and behaviour plans, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND in school, care setting, or similar.
• Strong communication and behaviour‑management skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils with SEND.
• Assist in implementing IEPs and behaviour support plans.
• Support pupils with classroom activities, ensuring they stay engaged.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
• Work with teaching staff and external professionals.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and report concerns.
