Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. in Gateshead is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex and additional needs in a specialist SEND school. The role is full-time, term-time only, starting September 2026, with hours 8:30am–3:30pm or 4:30pm and a daily pay of £98–£120.

You don\'t need to be a qualified teacher. We value resilience, patience and reliability, with experience in SEND settings or related roles being beneficial. Training and long-term opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, Youth Worker, Nurse or within a SEND setting would be beneficial.
• You don't need to be a qualified teacher.

A specialist SEND school in Gateshead is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex and additional needs.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that every pupil is different and can adapt their approach to help children overcome barriers to learning and development.

What You'll Be Doing
