Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support children aged 3-18 at a specialist school in Loughborough. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, adapt learning approaches, and work closely with teachers to help pupils access learning, including pupils with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and learning difficulties.

The school offers part-time and full-time opportunities on long-term and day-to-day supply basis, with CPD courses and a dedicated consultant team

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND, ASD, MLD and SLD desirable
• 1:1 support and small group work
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and development
• Strong communication and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
• Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning approaches to individual needs
• Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor progress and outcomes
• Support pupils with ASD, MLD and SLD to access learning
• Demonstrate patience, resilience and adaptability in a lively classroom setting
