TeacherActive is seeking an SEND Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEND school in Hendon, North West London. You will support pupils aged 3 to 18 with a range of needs, including moderate to severe autism, providing 1:1 and small-group assistance and collaborating with teachers and therapists.

Formación

• Experience supporting children or young people with autism and SEND is essential.
• Ability to work with pupils across varied ages and needs.
• Experience with communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton, AAC or similar would be advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Support pupils aged 3–18 across different learning stages.
• Work with children and young people with moderate to severe autism and complex learning needs.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual needs.
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour management.
• Assist with sensory activities, structured learning and individual education plans.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists and other support professionals.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Provide personal care support where required.
