Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd in Hendon is recruiting experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils aged 3–18 with autism and complex learning needs in a specialist school setting. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, collaborate with teachers and therapists, and help create a calm, inclusive learning environment.

The role offers immediate start, long-term placement, competitive daily rates, and access to CPD.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with autism and SEND.
• Ability to provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to needs.
• Understanding of communication methods like PECS/Makaton/AAC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils aged 3–18 with autism and complex needs across learning stages.
• Deliver 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual plans.
• Assist with communication, emotional regulation and behaviour management.
• Support sensory activities, structured learning and IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other staff.
• Provide personal care support where required.
