Job summary

Rivermead Primary School in Reading invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Apprentice (SEND Level 3). 16-month programme with online/remote learning, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time. Qualifications

• DBS clearance required if successful in the role.
• Knowledge of the national school curriculum and teaching practices.
• Proven ability to communicate with pupils, staff and parents.
• Ability to work well in teams and on own when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support learning for individual pupils and small groups under guidance of the classroom teacher.
• Deliver class support and interventions.
• Assist with implementing lesson plans and target-based activities.
• Work with teachers and Inclusion team to monitor pupil progress.
• Assist with pupil data, reports and administrative tasks.
• Supervise pupils during trips and break times as required.
