Job summary

Shine Learning & Training Centre Beds LTD is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprentice to support students with SEND/SEMH. You’ll assist teachers, manage classrooms, and help deliver personalised learning within a trauma-informed setting.

The apprenticeship runs for 16 months, with term-time hours (34.5 per week) and a wage of £12,320. Training is via LMP Group, with online learning and tutor support.

Qualifications

• GCSE English (Grade 4) or equivalent required.
• GCSE Maths (Grade 4) or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with classroom and student management.
• Support senior staff in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
• Carry out work inside the classroom and in other school areas as required.
• Develop knowledge of diverse learning support needs.
• Support individual students inside and outside the classroom.
• Build constructive relationships and respond to individual needs.
• Promote inclusion, self-esteem, and independence.
• Provide pastoral care to ensure students feel secure and happy.
• Give feedback on student progress under teacher guidance.
• Assist in planning and delivering tailored support programs.
• Provide regular feedback to teachers.
• Encourage good behaviour and manage conflicts promptly.
• Undertake routine marking and admin tasks.
