Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils across specialist and mainstream schools in Lancashire. We welcome candidates with professional experience working with children and young people with additional needs, and a commitment to personalised support.

Ideal applicants have previously worked in specialist SEND settings, provide dedicated 1:1 and small-group support, and help with emotional regulation and learning access.

Qualifications

• Professional experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Previous experience within a specialist SEND school or specialist provision.
• Strong 1:1 support experience and calm, patient approach.

Responsibilities

• Providing dedicated 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, communication needs and learning difficulties
• Working with pupils who require personalised learning and support strategies
• Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour and social development
• Assisting pupils to access learning and develop independence
• Implementing individual support plans and strategies
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams
• Supporting personal care where required
