Job summary

Aspire People Limited is recruiting an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Manchester primary schools. The role offers immediate start dates, with both full-time and part-time positions available, depending on school needs.

Candidates should have recent experience supporting pupils with SEND and be able to provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping students access learning and manage transitions with calm, patient guidance.

Qualifications

• Recent experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Previous experience within a UK primary school.
• Calm, patient and consistent approach.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, communication and learning needs
• Helping pupils access classroom learning
• Delivering targeted interventions
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Assisting with transitions and unstructured times
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider support staff
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback
