Job summary

Hope Valley College is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. The role includes 1:1 support, improving literacy and numeracy, and helping pupils realise their potential.

Qualifications

• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills are required.
• Ability to plan, assess and deliver literacy or numeracy interventions.
• Desire to work with young people to realise their potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide pupil support inside and outside the classroom, including 1:1 support for pupils with SEND.
• Support the inclusion, social integration and academic progress of pupils.
• Assist with delivery, assessment and monitoring of student progress and interventions.
• Contribute to the overall ethos and aims of the trust/school.
