Milk Education is working with a primary school in Pemberton (WN5) that is seeking a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to work 1-2-1 with a child in Year 2 who has Autism and Complex Needs.

This role is starting as soon as possible and will be a temporary, long-term position running until Fri 18/07/25.

The school is looking for someone who is patient, nurturing, and accommodating to the child's learning needs. The hours are 08:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

This SEND Teaching Assistant role involves keeping the child on task and ensuring the work is done to a good standard. You will prepare resources for the day and meet the child's needs, providing a patient and nurturing learning environment.

Teaching Assistant - Role & Responsibilities:

• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
• Support children consistently while responding to their individual needs
• Assist the teacher in lesson planning, evaluation, and adjustments as appropriate
• Deliver catch-up sessions

Teaching Assistant Level - Non-negotiables:

• Recent/relevant experience working with children and young people within the past two years
• A passion for education
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
• Reliability and punctuality
