We are seeking two friendly and enthusiastic Fixed-Term Teaching Assistants to join our growing team at Gorsey Bank Primary School. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs. You'll work alongside teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support, and empower pupils to reach their full potential.

We are currently looking to recruit caring and dedicated individuals to join our SEND team. You will play a vital role in enhancing pupils' progress while promoting their independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion. A comprehensive offer of professional learning is in place, and we ensure that all schools have designated workspaces for staff. A broad range of training in SEND is available across all our schools, focusing on whole-school SEND issues as well as specific training for SEND teams.

This position is contracted for 30 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 days. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total, you will be in work for a minimum of 38 out of 52 weeks.

Job Purpose (For further details on the role, please find the Job Description below)

• Provide a range of suitable learning and play activities that will enhance teaching and learning for all pupils, including those with additional needs (indoor and outdoor).
• Provide in-class support for pupils to enable them to make progress as directed by relevant teachers, delivering small group and one-to-one intervention programmes.

Key Skills and Experiences

• Sound educational background including GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
• Good knowledge and understanding of play and how to create opportunities for a wide range of ages and interests.
• Excellent understanding of the Early Years Framework.
