Keys Education, part of Keys Group, seeks a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs across two sites in West Wycombe and near Aylesbury. You will assist with learning activities, support social and emotional development, and help manage behaviours in line with school policy.
DBS clearance is required, with enhanced checks standard for safeguarding. Two years in a SEND environment is preferred; Level 3 TA qualification is advantageous.
To support teaching and learning by assisting teachers in delivering education and care to pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The SEND Teaching Assistant will embody the EPIC values and adhere strictly to the Staff Code of Conduct to create a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment that promotes pupil wellbeing and achievement. At Unity College We offer a bespoke educational provision in a nurturing environment; we operate on two sites. The main site is in West Wycombe, and our satellite nurture base is in the outskirts of Aylesbury. Both school sites offer safe and caring spaces for students to express feeling, emotions and anxieties that can be barriers to learning. We also offer specialist vocational learning spaces, designated teaching rooms and outdoor learning opportunities. In order to meet the diverse needs of the students at our satellite site we ensure an adequate staff to pupil ratio, with typically a class comprising of no more than 3 pupils across the whole site. Each class is staffed to support all needs.
