Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is hiring a Teaching Assistant for a SEND school in Liverpool on a full-time basis. You will support pupils with SEND, assist teachers with activities, and help create an inclusive, safe learning environment.

The ideal candidate has SEND experience, an enhanced DBS, strong behaviour management, and excellent communication and teamwork. Pay is from £93-£96 per day, depending on experience, with a dedicated recruitment team providing ongoing support.

Teaching Assistant – SEND School | Full-Time | Liverpool Location: L9 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Pay: From £93-£96 per day, depending on experience. Job Type: Full-Time

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils with a variety of SEND needs in the classroom.


• Assist teachers in delivering engaging learning activities.


• Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and independence.


• Support pupils who may display challenging behaviours, using a calm and positive approach.


• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND.


• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service (essential).


• Strong behaviour management skills.


• A patient, caring, and resilient attitude.


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


• Ongoing support from a dedicated recruitment team.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.

This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.
