A Specialist school for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and SEND needs is seeking experienced Behaviour Teaching Assistants to support their pupils on a long-term basis.
The school seeks a highly skilled SEND Teaching Assistant with experience working with complex A.S.D./SEMH pupils. Your responsibilities will include supporting pupils in developing their daily, academic, and social-emotional skills, preparing them for transition to secondary education. You will have a timetable to deliver interventions and cover classes across the school. Additionally, you will support teachers by taking responsibility for learning activities both in and out of the classroom, under supervision to help achieve learning outcomes.
Applicants should have prior experience supporting pupils with SEMH or complex emotional and behavioural needs. Experience in PRU or similar settings is preferred. Restraint training such as PRICE or de-escalation training is desirable but not essential; PRICE training will be provided.
